We will be participating and presenting at the Oil Spill Preparedness and Response Workshop. Michael Grebler, one of our Marine Experts, will make a joint presentation with Transport Canada (TC) on the oil pollution liability and compensation regime.
Hosted by the Victoria Island Waterways Safety Committee, this workshop is part of TC’s Cumulative Effects of Marine Shipping (CEMS) initiative for the pilot area of Cambridge Bay, Nunavut. The CEMS’ overarching objective is “to study the potential effects of how marine shipping impacts the environment and coastal communities. It will also establish a national framework for assessing those effects.”
