This federal Fund, managed by an independent Administrator, compensates victims of oil pollution caused by any ship or boat in Canadian waters. Learn about the types of damages that are covered for the various industry sectors, including tourism; the Fund’s claims process; and how the polluter pays principle applies to ship and boat owners.
