The Fund will be participating as exhibitor at the trade show hosted during the 2022 AGM and Convention of the Association of Vancouver Island and Coastal Communities (AVICC).  

We invite you to visit our on-site booth between April 1 and 3, 2022 at the Victoria Conference Centre. Ryan Gauvin, Legal Counsel, will be there to answer your questions. He will provide information to delegates, helping anyone interested to become more familiar with the activities of the Fund. 

The majority of claims we receive are actually for incidents in British Columbia, including for wrecks, derelict or abandoned vessels. A high number of oil spill damages are from Vancouver Island and the mainland coastland, which are members of the AVICC. However, local governments have been missing out on available compensation.
